These are not the droids you're looking for

(Not a post about UO crafting, so if that's the only reason you're here, you should probably stop reading now.)

I'm very excited to see Sin City doing well on Rotten Tomatoes. Rodriguez' last two films were disappointing but I have high hopes for this one. It's not going to be a film for everyone, but if you don't have an issue with depraved violence and a cast of characters that are morally ambiguous at best, you should think about giving this one a look. (Of course, now the film will turn out to suck and all my credibility will be destroyed . . . )

I really love the look of hit, I just hope that the movie lives up to the style and is as good as it looks.

Too bad they moved away from the source in such a way that there wasn't more nudity, I woulda paid an extra few books to see Jessica Alba strip, or be a stripper... Yes... in fact i'd pry buy that seperate entirely.

This movie cannot suck because Frank Miller is directly involved. He's waited a long time to put it into a reel. That and Quentin Tarantino is a guest director and who didnt love Kill Bill V.I & II?

Being a straight gal even I wouldnt mind seeing more of Jessica Alba! Ha!!

When the end credits rolled I sat with my mouth hanging open and just said "wow" to myself... as my friend and I walked out of the theater I couldnt even express what I was thinking.

If you get beyond the graphic violence etc....
It really is an EXCELLENT movie.
THe film noir style worked so great, The black and white was punctuated just right and the use of color was only overly dramatic at the right times. I smell an Oscar, best cinematography I have ever seen, hands down.

I had a fun time watching it.

I thought the direction and visuals were great, but the diolouge, "plot"(s) and some of the acting was the ole stink-o.

It was just film noir with none of the subtly or ties to actualy human suffering.

A fun ultra violent weekend movie with stunning and creative looks, but little substinative value all in all.

I never read the comics, but I loved frank miller's work with batman. I was expecting more I guess.

Not bad, but far from great.
